The D2I team works with many partners and stakeholders across campus to craft integrated analytics through charters and the Data Hub. We also continue some essential, operational services that were previously provided by the Institutional Analytics and Information Quest groups.
Analytics

Tools and Analytics for Decision Support
D2I develops analytical tools, including interactive visualizations and reports, to empower strategic decisions. D2I also provides decision support for university leaders and stakeholders through specialty research analytics, including predictive modeling and forecasting.
Campus Support

Insights Navigation Service
D2I manages the insights.utexas.edu service to help the UT community find existing and new reports.

Tableau
D2I manages the campus Tableau Enterprise account including the servers and licenses that enable desktop producers to create and publish visualizations for viewing and interacting with data.
Data Hub

The Data Hub
The Data Hub is UT’s foundation for data integration and management.
Legacy Data Services

D2I operates the essential Legacy Data Services until they can be planned, migrated, and tested over several years to the Data Hub via an orderly migration and retirement plan in coordination with business process owners and users.
D2I is also partnering on multiple projects to develop a set of reusable campus services.

Metadata Management
Documenting data sources, meaning, and transformations are an essential part of D2I’s work in the Data Hub and via data spokes. Expected to go live in 2022.

Organizational Hierarchy
Universities have complex structures and systems. The org hierarchy service will help accurately crosswalk multiple types of UT data among data sources to enable integrated analytics. This service will be essential for D2I Analytics work and useful to others as well.

Role-Based Access
D2I is working with UT partners to plan for a new campus RBA service that can simplify and enable policy-compliant access to UT reports. This is in the earliest stages of planning.
