Attention: Users of Cognos Financial Data

What’s Happening:

An issue in the legacy data warehouse is preventing the refresh load of AQ-BUDGET-GROUP data to the on-premises data warehouse tables.

Impact and Risks:

Since last night’s refresh didn’t load new data – Cognos cubes and reports that rely on this data are not current as of today November 15, 2024.

Maintenance or Resolution Timeline:

D2I is currently working to restore the data and refresh the Cognos objects and will update customers on the status and timing of the resolution by end of day today.

Attention: Cognos Customers (IQ-Data & IQ-Author)

What’s Happening:
Performing planned maintenance to update Cognos resource links.

Maintenance Date / Time:
Start Time: Friday, January 6, 2023, 9:00PM
End Time:  Friday, January 6, 2023, 10:00PM

Impact and Risks:
Maintenance will stop/start Cognos service one node at a time and is anticipated to be transparent with no service impact. If you are logged into Cognos during the maintenance, there could be a slight blip that would require a browser refresh to continue in Cognos.

Attention: Cognos IQ-Author Report Developers for Accounting and Purchasing & Payment Services 

Please see the information below for the dates/times and explanation of the planned file maintenance. 

When?

• Start Time: Friday, December 16, 2022 at 5:00 PM
• End Time: Monday, December 19, 2022 at 7:00 AM

Why?

File maintenance – rematerialization required for file modifications to the TX-DOCUMENTS (UTDBA.TX_72_DOCUMENTS and related tables).

What is affected?

• The TX-DOCUMENTS (and related tables) are available from the following areas:
  • Accounting and CSU Accounting Packages and Purchasing & Payment Services Package in Cognos IQ-Author Report Studio (https://iq-author.austin.utexas.edu).
• During the rematerialization maintenance window, the TX-DOCUMENTS fields in the Accounting Packages and Purchasing & Payment Services Package, and any reports using these fields will NOT be available.

• Downtime maintenance planned for Cognos Service – security patching maintenance.
• We ran into an issue last night, 11/17/22, on the IQ-Author security patching. See below for the new date for this maintenance.
• The IQ-Data maintenance will continue as planned tonight, 11/18/22.

When?

• IQ-Data – Friday, November 18, 7:00PM – 12:00AM
• IQ-Author – Tuesday, November 22,  7:00PM – 12:00AM
• All existing cubes, reports, packages and schedules on IQ-Data and IQ-Author will be UNAVAILABLE during the designated downtime maintenance. 

Action Required:

• Reports scheduled to run during the designated downtime maintenance window will NOT run. The schedules will resume as expected on the next scheduled date/time or you may manually send the scheduled report(s) the morning after the downtime maintenance.

• IQ-Data: Friday, November 18, 7:00pm-12:00am
• All existing cubes, reports, packages, and schedules on IQ-Data and IQ-Author will be UNAVAILABLE during the designated downtime maintenance. 

Action Required:
Reports scheduled to run during the designated downtime maintenance window will not run. The schedules will resume as expected on the next scheduled date/time or you may manually send the scheduled report(s) the morning after the downtime maintenance.
